BICYCLE TOURING

After my brother and I took a short mountain tour in Colorado at ages 18 and 16, we made a pact that before I turned 25 years old, we would tour on bicycles across the United States. Well, it never happened. A number of years later, as a result of my brother Cory’s motivation, in 1994, we rode two tours together in consecutive years. From that point, I had to prove I could forge on and conquer new challenges, therefore this brief overview. If you want the really long-winded version, just e-mail, and ask me one question. 1994 The Colorado Rockies, 10 Mountain Passes Climbed (7 Over 10,000 Feet), 703 Miles:

1995 The Canadian Rockies, (Alberta/B.C.) 360 Miles:
Cory & Jay (A second year in a row-Jay is HOOKED!!!)

1996 Alaskan Interior Adventure, 927 Miles:
Jay’s 1st Solo Event (No Grizzly attacks!)

1997 New Zealand (North & South Islands), 1109 Miles:
Jay Solo (Good-day Mate-First "Bungy-Jump" From A Bridge)

1997 Montana/Wyoming Rockies (Glacier/Yellowstone/Tetons), 804 Miles:
Jay Solo (Certifiably Crazy!)

1998 Washington/Oregon Cascade Tour (Rainier/St. Helens/Mt. Hood), 1250 Miles:
Jay Still Solo (Beyond Crazy)

1999 ??? A Colorado South-Western Reunion Tour ???
